Definition
S represents the host system time (the PC running MCRSync). T represents the time maintained by the Masterclock PCIe card.
Normal behavior
- S and T update continuously.
- The difference between S and T should remain small and stable.
- Minor variation is normal due to measurement timing.
What problems look like
- S updates but T does not: communication or COM port issue.
- T updates but shows large drift: reference or lock issue.
- Neither updates: card not detected or driver issue.
How this is used
S and T are primarily diagnostic values used to confirm communication with the PCIe card and verify that the card is actively tracking time.
