Symptoms
- DA12 power LED is on, but no signal is present at one or more outputs
- Downstream equipment does not receive or detect a signal from the DA12
- Output level is too low to be measured or used by connected equipment
Causes
- Input signal type or level is incompatible with the DA12’s settings
- AC or DC coupling is set incorrectly for the input signal type
- Output is improperly terminated or loaded, reducing or preventing signal propagation
- Output gain is set too low, causing the output to appear inactive
Suggested solutions or troubleshooting steps
- Verify a valid input signal is present at the DA12 input.
Confirm the input signal is present, stable, and within the DA12’s supported signal type and level range. If no valid input is present, the DA12 will not produce output. - Confirm the gain setting is appropriate.
Ensure gain is set high enough for downstream equipment to detect and use the signal. A gain set too low can look like “no output” even when the unit is operating normally. - Verify AC or DC coupling matches the input signal type.
Incorrect coupling can prevent the signal from passing through as expected. - Check output termination and loading.
Verify cable type and connected equipment termination are appropriate. Incorrect termination or excessive loading can significantly reduce output level. - Reference the DA12 user manual for gain and coupling guidance.
The DA12 has limited adjustable settings. Confirm gain and coupling selections match the intended use as described in the manual.
