RC600 or RC1000 cannot be discovered in WinDiscovery

Symptoms

An RC600 or RC1000 does not appear after WinDiscovery finishes searching.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Verify power is applied through PoE or DC, as appropriate for the installation.
  2. Verify the Ethernet link and confirm the network equipment supports the device link speed.
  3. Run WinDiscovery from a PC on the same LAN as the RC device. Click Discover and wait for completion.
  4. Check that discovery traffic on UDP port 6163 is permitted. If the device is on a remote LAN, use a PC on that LAN or follow WinDiscovery cannot discover devices across subnets or VLANs.
