Symptoms

Symptoms vary by configuration and environment.

Causes
Suggested solutions or troubleshooting steps
  1. Confirm the device and client can reach each other on the network.
  2. Verify required ports are permitted for the feature in use.
  3. Test on the same subnet to isolate routing or VLAN effects.
Fix
  1. If DHCP is enabled but there is no DHCP server on the LAN, switch to static IP or restore DHCP service.
  2. Configure at least one valid DNS server, missing DNS can cause similar pauses.
  3. If you see periodic soft restarts, also check for fallback IP behavior and IP conflicts.
