PCIe-GPS will not lock to GPS satellites

Symptoms vary by configuration and environment.

• Incorrect GPS-related settings (if applicable) or status interpretation, but GPS lock failures are most often antenna placement, cabling, or signal path issues
• Signal integrity issue (cable type and length, connector seating, grounding/shielding, or signal level)
• Physical installation factor (cabling, connectors, or power), temperature and humidity are rarely the cause

1. If applicable, verify GPS-related settings in the device interface, otherwise focus on antenna placement, cabling, and signal path checks.
2. Check inputs, cabling, and network connectivity.
3. Restart and re-test after each change to isolate the cause.

1. Use the supplied pre-amplified antenna. A passive antenna can damage the receiver module.
2. Place the antenna with unobstructed sky view and allow time for first fix.
3. Inspect coax and connectors for damage or shorts.
