Device Boot and Network Initialization Behavior

After power is applied, devices initialize hardware and networking before they can be discovered or configured. It is normal for a device to be temporarily unreachable during this period.

If the device is configured for DHCP, it will request network information from a DHCP server. If DHCP is not available on the connected network, the device may continue attempting to obtain an address and may not behave as expected until network settings are corrected.

• The device appears in WinDiscovery after a short delay.
• The device’s IP address changes if the DHCP lease changes.
• Temporary loss of communication during network renegotiation.
